Sianbei English Day - Sianbei Elementary School English Day Event We are grateful to the English teaching team for their planning and assistance, and to the first-grade teachers for their hard work in training the students. The children were adorable and energetic as they performed lively English songs on stage, complemented by handmade posters and props. Everyone had a wonderful time together. Teacher and Student Participation: English teachers and first-grade homeroom teachers collaborated on teaching, enabling students to practice speaking English outside of their regular English classes. The event also invited foreign English teaching assistants to serve as judges and provide feedback. Incentive Mechanism: After the event, an awards ceremony was held to recognize the students from each class. Awards were given based on the unique qualities of each class, such as the *Most Energetic Award*, *Best Creative Award*, *Best Teamwork Award*, *Best Smile Award*, and *Super Shining Award*. Evaluation Mechanism: By rotating formations, we ensured that every student had the opportunity to be in the front row on stage, motivating them to participate actively and seriously.

"Library English Reading Club" Children's Day Series of Activities 1. Homeroom teachers lead students to the library for a book-borrowing activity. 2. During reading class, students converse in English with a foreign teacher to borrow a book. 3. After borrowing a book, students begin reading. 4. Students can exchange vouchers for a snack or drink.

6.Curriculum Features

Our school is located by the Yanshui River, and the river serves as the core of our school-based curriculum. Through interdisciplinary learning, we aim to cultivate well-rounded skills and foster a connection between the students and their local environment, inspiring them to care for their hometown and eventually broaden their horizons to the world. For the 112th academic year, the school's curriculum is focused on exploring themes such as "River Technology Exploration," "Creative Transformation," and "Cultivating Virtuous Children."
The school plans to apply for this project with the "River Technology Exploration" PBL (Project-Based Learning) curriculum. The Yanshui River is facing various water pollution issues, and through the school-based curriculum, students explore the beauty of the river's flora and fauna and the damage caused by human activities. By discussing a series of issues and using information technology, students are encouraged to think about how to solve the increasingly serious pollution problems.
For instance, students design small games using Scratch to identify pollution sources, assemble robots to create a super cleaner and garbage trucks for waste removal, and develop websites to raise awareness about protecting water resources. These problem-solving units guide students to think critically and find solutions. The curriculum also emphasizes teamwork through group activities, teaching students to collaborate effectively. By using information technology to address real-world issues, students gain a deeper understanding of their hometown, using game-based learning to spark their motivation, encouraging them to express themselves confidently, and strengthening interpersonal interactions.
